1988 Jeep Cherokee Air Intake Hose

Hi Guys!

The air intake hose, the one going from the airfilter to the intake on the engine, crumbled in my hand the other day. Wonder how bad that hose really was all this time..... anyway, where can I find and buy this replacement hose? Hose appears to be 2.25 inch diameter, and all the auto parts dealers don't have it and point me to a dealer. I can get this hose in aircraft grade for $10.20 a foot. Yikes. Any place online where this part can be purchased reasonably?

it a part of your crank case ventilation. it is not your ccv, or pcv but is still important. you should replace it because it helps keep carbon from building up inside your engine and keeps hydro carbons from escaping. it will not effect drivability.
