most of the time when a factory amp is used you have to buy a by pass box
i know in all the chevy trucks with the bose system a bypass is about 140 dollars but as far as a bmw im not sure

well the main problem is you bought a Sony Xplod. BAD MOVE. They like to do just that, explode, i've seen it happen. Get a Pioneer or Eclipse, Something like that. Then check for a factory amp. I would just hardwire the speakers directly to the harness, run new 18guage wires directly from the speaker terminals to the appropriate wire output feeds on the back of the deck. It's kinda time consuming but worth the effort assuming you don't have blown speakers. Stay away from SONY Xplod!!

I have seen video of sony xplode subs that got smoked, but I have also seen a fair amount of equipment failure at the 50+ shows I have been .... that happens when you push yor equipment hard. I just don't understand Sony's choice of name though, seems kinda silly.

the sony explode works fine man, i installed it and i just put 4 new Memphis 5.25" speakers in it and sounds amazing, just now want to get a amp to make it sound better, not sure if i should stick with a 5 channel Memphis or go with a Crunch or something.. anyone have an idea of any good amps,, that are cheap?

Ok first off, i did give a solution to the problem moron. and ok maybe not explode by definition but they like to short out, ground out, and just plain old stop working for no reason. I stand by what i said, Stay away from sony Xplod!!!

If you got the good music system than your car ride is really smooth for this I would like to give thanks to powernetshop.at as they really provide me good sound quality speaker. I can feel and hear every sound of every instruments.

Thats really fabulous. I like slow music as this kind of music really relax me fast.
