hello all,
i got my new AIR BRUSH - iwata Revolution CR (part R4500), and because i am new in the AIR BRUSH section, i have some Questions. when i paint the body car, in the cup, i need to mix the paint with something ? can i paint the part - interior with the airbrush (only primer) ? and some general Question, until now i was paint the body+part with primer (spray) and then i paint the body+part with the color paint, is this method is good enough ?

Re: new airbrush - Questions.
For AB your paint need to be very fluid, so you need to thin it, you will need a bit of practice to find the right ratio. Regular hobby paints mix in 50:50 ratio paint and thinner.
Zero paints for example are prethinned but sometimes they do need some thinner (if they stay a bit longer on shelve). Primer, you can use it with AB also but I find Tamiya spray primer as best solution. Small parts, paint them all with AB, I use it even on smallest parts. All other stay same, so for body, primer, paint, clear or primer and paint if it is gloss one that need no clear. Basically AB replaces spray and brush in total, you will need brushes only for wash and drybrush. |
