Re: kid/ teen repellent

I have read about these somewhere else. Think there was a story on CNN or something. They have been tested in cities in the US and worked with amazing results. Sounds unbeleivable but it truely works!

Some stores have also been known to broadcast classical, or other "elevator-type" music from the sound system outside their store(s) in an effort to prevent loitering from the "under 25" crowd .

my teenager has a "mosquito" ring tone on her phone so the teachers can't hear it go off in class.

That's incredible. I am sure all the students start cracking up just knowing the teacher is standing up there completely unaware the cell is ringing!

She got the ring tone after forgetting to turn off her phone and got busted in class. I don't mind because I know she's not playing on the phone in class, in fact she's an honors student with a year round part time job and a paying summer job for the school district working with special needs children and still has time to volunteer at the food bank with me.

Not to go further off topic but when I was in high school a cell phone weighed about 15 pounds and the battery was bigger than the phone. I was one of the few who had one of these huge bagphones, they were really expensive to use as well.

There was no getting away with using it in class thats for sure.

Re: kid/ teen repellent

yeah the mosquito ring tone is really annoying. im a teen and its funny the first 10 times you hear it, but after that its like nails on a chalk board. those of you who can't hear it, feel lucky.

btw, not all kids who play on there phones in class are getting bad grades. some teachers actually allow it, so its not just the kids.

I had one of those. So heavy I would leave it in the car when running into the store. Once when coming out I heard it ringing and a gal walking by my car just couldn't pass it up and answered it. Guess she thought it was for her.

The "thing" to do around the shop is, when you get a call on your cell, you shout out "I'll get it".......
....its funny the first dozen times.....

At work, whenever the phone rings i just ignore it and look at my friend Brian and say "the phone's ringing.." then i complain about how long it takes him to answer it. I have a strange phobia towards phonecalls..

Now the boss has decided he wants a second phone on our line in his office, reckons we lose business by not answering the phone, or something like that. We now both run to get the phone, as we don't want him recieving phone calls about our off-the-books jobs..

Of course, when my phone rings i know it's mine because it plays Cross The Tracks by Maceo & The Macks.
