Ok heres the situation. I went out 2days ago to start my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP and it wouldn't start. It would crank over but no start up. I could just put the key in the ignition and put it in the ON Position and I can hear the fuel pump turn on. But when I go to start it, all it does is crank over with out starting. So, I checked all my fuses and even switched relay's around and tried starting it again, still didnt start. So, I unhooked the battery for about 3mins and hooked the battery back up and tried starting it again and it started right up. So, what could this mean? Oh yea I should mention that the SES Check Engine Light is on and the codes for that is short or open circuit to ignition control module or something like bad ECM(random misfire). I've checked wires that go to the ICM and they are good and I have already replaced the ICM also. So, could this mean that my ECM is finally going out? Or could this mean the fuel pump or fuel pump relay is going out?
