Re: 1964 Lemans winning Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe

Hi Dave

This is indeed a very impressive model.
I am not really a fan of these old race cars, but I do like a work of art !

Question:
The rear window, was it already this dark in the kit, or did you have to paint it with Tamiya smoke, or did you put some window foil on it ?
I'm curious as I want to darken the windows of a car I'm working on and I'm not sure which method is the way to go.

The windows are clear vacuum formed pieces in the kit you need to cut out. The rear window can be tinted with Tamiya smoke or the decal sheet provides a window tint decal which is what I used.

Micha,
This kit in my opinion of course is the nicest of them all. Harold Bradfords is probably its rival, BUT its twice the price!! Although The HRM kit is full detail, this kit has an engine block that easily can be added to using heads and valve covers and other details from a GT 350 mustang kit. And like others have said, the kit seats are separate pieces.. In fact I am going to get another kit from Matthew and sooner or later superdetail it!

Thanks all, I am glad you like it.
