Question Pin out for tail light wiring harness connector

To make a long story short I had the tail lights on my 99 T&C changed out to have the yellow turn signals while stationed in England. One of them was cracked and would not pass VA inspection, So I bought some original tail lights and tried to install them. The wiring harness connector has had the wires moved around to accomidate the european 4 bulb lights that were in there vs the 3 light US set up. So while I have a haynes manual and know which wires control what, I do not know how they are supposed to be in the connector part of the harness. The connector has 6 slots (2 rows of 3). I have 5 wires to connect on each side with one slot being empty. If anybody has the pin outs of the actual connector or can point me in the right direction that would be great. evenif you have a T&C an could look at the connector that would be great.

This is what I have for wires
Black - Ground
Violet/Black - backup lights
Dark Green/Red - Left rear turn
Brown/Red - Right rear turn
White/Tan - associated with both tail turn circuits
Dark Green/Yellow - associated with right rear turn
Brown/Yellow - I have Brown/Blue associated with left rear tun

Thank in advance
Jay

I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath for 5+ years 87-92. Couldn't stand it the first year. Didn't want to leave the last year. Would love to go back sometime.

Re: Pin out for tail light wiring harness connector

Thank you for the information provided, but I still seem to be having an issue. Now that you have given me the pin numbers can you tell me the way the slots are numbered. I tried it a couple of different way going across like 123 on one row and 456 on the next and that didn't work. I did get the turn signal to blink normally but in the wrong positions. I went out and looked at the connector and with the clip side up 1 is on the right and 3 is on the left then 4 oon the right 5 middle and 6 on the left or something like this.

3 X 1
6 5 4

As some added info I had the transmission replaced while in England when I had had the 4 bulb european lights in and had some issues when I picked it up of the lights not working correctly. Is there anywhere else that the wiring could have changed and now that I have the correct pin outs something else is wrong. Is there a wiring schematic for the 3 bulb us lights. Thought maybe I could check and see if I could look at what combination turns on the turn signal, brakes etc. Finally as as last solution is there a place online or somewhere to buy the 4 bulb yellow turn signal european light if I can get this figured out.

Thanks, Jay

Re: Pin out for tail light wiring harness connector

Here's the schematic: http://www.oplin.org/databases/proxy...%2fframerq.asp

Takes some clicking to get there:
> Type 123456789 in the first block that appears then click submitt
> Scroll to Cincinatti Library and click submitt
> Scroll to ARRC and click submitt
> Select 1999 Dodge Caravan on next three screens
> Under repair topics select wiring diagrams
> Select external lighting

I'm thinking if you remove the bulbs you can then match up which contact does what on the light assembly connector using a meter. You can then match up the wire color IDs to the contacts on the harness connector.
