Exclamation still in need of advice

I need to have this car running soon and i want to give it my all before i surrender it to the mechanic. Heres the latest news, its running worse now for some reason. Its almost as if its starving for fuel or something like that. I've replaced the fuel filter and i put some additive to the gas and could that have loosened stuff up and now theres crap in the filter? Also, "i really hope this isn't it," but could there be rust in the tank? And again sorry if i'm being impatient, but could the EGR cause this chugging i'm experiencing? I'm going out to work on it now so any help is MUCH appreciated!! And a quick thanks to everyone who's helped me so far, i would NEVER have gotten this far without these forums!

Too bad you're not in Mesa, AZ. I'd have you drive it over here.

Too bad? Maybe it's for the best cuz if we all were in AZ we would probably be at your house everyday.
