2003 Deville - Change Coolant - Basic question
Hi:
I have a 2003 Deville and I want to change the coolant. I pan to drain the old coolant via the petcock on the bottom of the radiator (assuming there is a petcock) and fill it with Dexcool/water. My question is there anything else I need to know here? Is the procedure as simple as I described? I know that when I changed the coolant on my 97 Park Ave I have to open a small bleed srew to bleed air out of the system and I didn't know about this until I read it somewhere on these forums. Any help is appreciated. I want to do the job right. Thanks Greg |

I did a quick look on a repair site and it states to Refill I didnt notice any Bleeders but there could always be a hidden one

Try and find any drain plugs in the block to get as much out as possible, also.

Re: 2003 Deville - Change Coolant - Basic question
I went through this on my 2000 DeVille a few weeks ago. I did the job just as you described except I opened the cap on the overflow tank to prevent air lock. No bleeders on the car. There is also not a radiator cap on the car.
The recommended coolant change intervel with Dexcool is 60,000 miles. |
