knock at startup?
Whenever you start my car up it sounds like it knocks, but only once just as it starts up. Is this normal? I heard the car does this as a result of all the emissions crap they threw on the car at the factory?

Re: knock at startup?
I know the noise he's speaking of. Usually happens right as the engine fires, when the engine is warm. Kinda like ber-rer-rer-rer*knock*VROOOM
Nothing to worry about. It's completely normal. j-cAT: It's a detonation knock, not a piston, rod or main bearing knock.
