DIC on 2000 Grand Prix GTP
My DIC just starting flickering (dimming and then get really bright) did this for a few days or so. Finally just went black and nothing, the odd time it comes on for a few hours then goes black again. I have not had any repairs done which have disabled power to the ECU or anything. I have check fuses all seems fine, as the fuse to the DIC also runs rear defroster which still works?
Any ideas? |

Re: DIC on 2000 Grand Prix GTP
The problem you are having is common. However, it sounds like you may eventually need to replace the DIC unit. You can disassemble the dash panel and remove the DIC to perform a visual inspection or troubleshoot to make sure the ground and 12v are good at the main connector. There are a few solder joints that can be redone. Most wind up replacing it.

Re: DIC on 2000 Grand Prix GTP

Thanks Joe |
