Re: WIP: Peugeot 205 Turbo16

Oh yes of course I see, if you're still refering to this... FALSE ONE !!!
With Lancia Delta HF rims ?!?!?
(it is a very bad rebuilt as I already said it before...)

try another look to the original one:

or even Ken's model who modified the inside as it has to be:

Well I think I'd better give up trying to advice you the good colors and choices, by evidence you don't care building a realistic and accurate model...

So go your own way to this model and I'll only see yours skills, not the car representation !

Re: WIP: Peugeot 205 Turbo16

It all makes sense now that you've posted that last photo with the number plate on it... The car you're basing your build on used to be owned bya guy called Peter Johnson here in New Zealand... It had quite a bit of work done on it in an attempt to make it both faster and more reliable (including a 6 speed sequential box - try and find one of those in an original 205 T16), and was used regularly in tarmac / targa style events here in NZ for a few years. They did make it fast, but it remained fragile, and as a result now lives in Ireland...

The owner (ex owner now) is a vehicle importer with a passion for Group B... He had a Metro 6R4 before the 205, and now has an RS200...

Below is a link here to his website which has a number of pictures of the car as it was raced here in New Zealand. While it is a genuine ex-works car, it is in FAR from ex-works condition.. It was modified extensively to make it a better car NOW, with no concern for historical accuracy. Hence running EvoII bodywork etc on an Evo I chassis. This car is NOT representative of any other 205T16...

At least at the end you'll be able to send PJ a photo of your model of 'his' car.....

Just so you know, where you put the kevlar decal, should actually be fibreglass
