1998 Saturn SL A/C Not Working

When I pressed down the A/C switch on my 1998 SL1, the A/C signal light shown “on” on the switch, but the A/C compressor could not turn on, I doubled check the wire go to the compressor, there is no electrical current run to the A/C compressor, to turn on the A/C compressor clutch. Also I checked the A/C fuse in fuse box, it looks fine. Does any one of you have any idea?
