Thinking about gettin miata..

Ok a miata is pretty much my dream car and now i finally have enough money to get one, but I have also heard they are not that relaible and should get something more along the lines of camry or something. I like the looks but not sure if it can hold up over the years. Any advice?

Cool Re: Thinking about gettin miata..

Depends! What are you getting a car for? Fun, reliable transportation, show, etc? I have a 91' Miata which im trying to restore cosmeticly but it runs like its brand new! With the exception of the blown head gasket, but shit! when the car is 17 years old a head hasket being the biggest problem with the car isnt bad! I bought mine for second car to go to work, not to mention the awesome gas mileage!

Re: Thinking about gettin miata..

I own a 97 and drive around 70 miles a day with no issues. It is an older car so it will require some preventative maintenance and things will start wearing out but that is no Mazda specific, that is just cars.
