2004 Grand Am GT Cruise Control Problems

My engin is v6 (not exactly sure of the engin size itself) with just over 100k miles on it. The cruise control stopped working when I ran over a rabbit (mostly a slick spot in the road rather then anything else, it had been ran over a few times before.) When my tire hit the rabbit it killed my cruise control and it never would work again. The speedomiter (SIC) and milage works fine. (We asked a friend who is a police officer to clock our speed to make sure.) We also checked every fuse and relay and they are all working fine.
About a year before this happened I had hit a cow which caused the airbags to go off. One other time, about 5 months before the final break down, the CC stopped working but once we stopped to check the fuses it started up again and worked fine. The buttons were also tricky and had to be hit in the 'perfect spot' for the CC to turn on. We're not sure if the CC problems were caused but the accident but we're sure we didn't have these problems until the airbags had to be replaced.
Also the horn doesn't work but I was told it was because of the actual horn itself.

If your fuses/relays are good, then check the wiring from the CC unit (on the passenger side of the engine compartment) to the PCM. Also make sure the cable that runs to the Throtle Body - TB is connected right.

Could also be the switch on the steering wheel since the air bag was replaced. They may not have replaced the broken button(s) as they to tend to get damaged when the air bags are deployed.
