2003 Yukon passenger mirror issue

I have a 2003 yukon that has what seems to be a unique issue with the passenger mirror. It angles down when in reverse as it should and power adjustment works as it should, but when the right turn signal is on, it will not blink in the mirror all the time. It used to work about 90% of the time but now, 5 years later, it works about 10 percent of the time or less.

I'm a little OCD and little stuff like this bothers me probably more than it should. I was wondering if you guys had ever heard of anything like this before, and more importantly, how to fix it?

Could it be a relay or something along those lines or would I need to replace the entire mirror (expensive!). Thank you in advance for any help and advice you can give.
