Re: Fujimi upcoming seen on HobbySearch Japan
Gotta pipe in with those who favor Fujimi's GT-R. There's just something subtly right about that one in the preview pics, where Tamiya and Aoshima seem just the tiniest bit off somehow. I also like its parts breakdown the best, based on what we've seen - but why all the coyness with the engine inserts?
Nevertheless, unlike the Fujimi GTO, which flaunts a superiority Forrest Gump could appreciate, I do want all of these in my hands before I render any final evaluations... |

Re: Fujimi upcoming seen on HobbySearch Japan
More pics of the Fujimi GTR just hit Fujimi's website today:
Fujimi GTR Looks pretty good, but my Tamiya version looks at least as good and the front track looks more realistic on the Tamiya GTR. The rear diffuser is clearly inferior to Tamiya's. The shape is a bit off, and the exhaust tips are too small and too far inside the diffuser openings. I compared my Tamiya model w/photos of the 1:1, and Tamiya nailed it, Fujimi didn't. I'll use the extra set of plastic Tamiya tips on mine.

Re: Fujimi upcoming seen on HobbySearch Japan
I have 2 of the Aoshima Premium Editions on the way; I only wanted one but I'm sure I can find a use for the second one. I can't believe that no one has built theirs with aftermarket wheels yet!

The wheel openings are huge...on the Tamiya body anyway. I tried some other 20" rims but nothing looked very good on it.

Re: Fujimi upcoming seen on HobbySearch Japan
Cool; I have a few things I might be able to throw at it to change the pace a bit.
