2003 Yukon - Radio Clock Resets every time vehicle is turned off

I am trying to diagnose a problem where the radio's clock resets to 12:00 everytime the vehicle is turned off. I thought that the radio may be losing power entirely when the ignition is off, but the weird thing is that the radio station presets don't get erased. This problem has been happening for about 5 days now.

I was wondering if this might be a battery problem or if it is problem with the radio itself.

Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the battery pulling way down when you start it? In my 2003 yukon the battery went bad. It would still start the yukon but it would pull the battery down so much and draw so much current that it would reset the clock on the radio.
