my 98 windstar idles rough, air cond and heater stop after warm up

At cold start up it runs good air is cold heater warms up but after warm up it idles rough sometimes dies and the heater blows cold air and the air conditioner compressor will kick off. I replaced the pcv and some worn out vacuum hoses this did not fix the problem. suggestions?

when was the last time you checked out your cooling system? make sure the fluids are good and that the fan kicks in at the correct time etc.

if it hasn't been changed in a while, I would also change out the coolant and clear it of any trapped air etc.

Another thing to look for is a vaccum leak....which you have already done.
When the problem happens, can you move the airflow to all the locations, defrost, vent, floor?
If not....then this would be the place to look for the vaccum leak.....as this is driven by vaccum.
