2002 Windstar replacement wheels/rims

Hi,

I have a 2002 Windstar SE with stock 16" mags.

I'm looking to buy winter tires with rims.

The LX base model has 15" stock rims, so I know it can go with bigger rims as long as the total tire diameter stays the same.

Can my SE model go with the smaller 15" rims, or will the internal wheel assembly parts/brakes interfere with them?

Stock tire size for the SE is 215/65R16
Stock tire size for the LX is 215/70R15

Very likely ford put the same suspension and brake parts on all these vans. You can go to advanceautoparts.com and look up brake parts and you will see they are all the same.

Yes you can.. SE model had the upgraded Wheel package and interior as well.
I do like the SE Alloy Rims and was thinking on swapping some out until I found out 15inc tires are a lot cheaper. What I Mean cheaper 100.00 LESS a set...Right Now at Goodyear we are making Snow tires like crazy. We always do in the summer. Go figure.. But yes you can switch rims to 15 inch with the same lug pattern on the Windstar with no problems..

Which 16" alum rims (16x6, 16x6.5, or 16x7) can I use for the Windstar LX 2000 (I think it has the 15x6 steel rims) ?

I think the information you want is the bolt pattern, which is 5 x 108mm(4.25").


Wiswind: you are right Tirerack and 1010tires are great sites to find tire and wheel info. Unfortunately, I need one more bit of information that I cannot find on these sites:

I would like to know the size of the wheel yolk/center hole on my 2002 Windstar. Does anyone have a spare set of rims they can measure for me?
