93 Grand Marquis - Missing
My Merc suddenly decided to drop a cylinder on me yesterday. Fearing the worst, I pulled the plugs to check things out. I found a bunch of water in one of the spark plug "holes" down around the boot on the wire, this must have been short the wire out to the engine and causing misfire.
The water obviously came from the foot deep puddles I was running through during a rainstorm last week, but it amazes me how this motor was designed such that it will hold water down around the spark plugs. I just thought I post this in case anyone else experiences a similiar problem. |

Re: 93 Grand Marquis - Missing
We see it constantly. Police think they need to wash engines for inspection. They wash, we replace plugs and boots.
