H.I.D. lighting problems
I am having problems with my hid lights. One works fine all the time but the other one only works for about 3 minutes then flashes really bright and goes out. Would this be a ballast? Could it just be a loose connection somewhere?

Re: H.I.D. lighting problems
Try using a test light or DVOM and check if your losing power. I've had to replace some so check for power and if you have power buy a couple of used ones from a junk yard or buy new.

Re: H.I.D. lighting problems
When I get something from the yard I get the whole thing. I even get the screws.

Re: H.I.D. lighting problems
i had some HIDs on my car and my truck. One went out in my car the ballast was bad. Be sure you isolate the ballast from ground some how because they will short out (this is what the company told me) especially if you have the cheap kit. If mine goes out again im putting regular bulbs back in mine. 2 kits i bought came bad and had 2 get them both replaced. Next time i had a bad bulb and it blew as soon as i turned the lights on. I hate these things.
