97 Yukon GT 4x4 Transmission jerk
I just bought this yukon and put a new motor in it. All the sensors on the motor are new and the distributor cap is new. The motor is running perfect, but when i am going a constant speed between 45-70 i start getting a jerk. It doesnt sound like it is coming from the motor. I doesnt happen when accelerating, only at a constant speed. I unplugged the throttle position sensor to see what that would do and it stopped jerking and ran smooth. I know it not the throttle position sensor though because i just replaced it. Does anyone know whats going on? thanks

Re: 97 Yukon GT 4x4 Transmission jerk
It could be the TCC Regulator Valve which is known to where and cause issue with TCC Lockup.
To test this, lightly tap the brake pedal (just enough to turn the brake lights on but not enough to slow you down). If the problem stops, then it could be the TCC regulator valve or maybe the Torque Converter itself. If the TCC Regulator Valve is worn, it can be fixed with the transmission still in the truck. //2000CAYukon |

Re: 97 Yukon GT 4x4 Transmission jerk
How would I get to the valve? Is it in the pan? Am I doing more damage driving it like that? Thanks for all the help.

Re: 97 Yukon GT 4x4 Transmission jerk
You need to drop the pan and then remove the valve body to get at it. See http://www.sonnax.com/announcements/77754-03K.pdf
I don't think driving it is going to make it worse but it would be a good idea to have it checked out. //2000CAYukon |
