Help! - Montana won't stay running

Hi, In troubleshooting my mother in-laws 1999 Montana, I came across a missing "something" right under the bracket for the throttle cable. The PCV tube goes from the valve cover, to the mystery spot in the intake, which is directly under the throttle bracket, and then to places unknown behind the engine. When the PCV tube passes under the throttle bracket, the hose was just wobbling around, and it looked like a grommet or something was missing. Can anyone tell me what's supposed to go there? How about posting some pics of your running van's PCV tube?

Re: Help! - Montana won't stay running

the pvc pipe goes from the pvc valve to a gromlet the is on top of the throttle body it is under a lip then it goes into the valve cover on the backside of the motor. the gromlet that is on top of the throttle body is a soft gromlet and will get sucked into the throttle as it falls apart. but it needs to be replaced as soon as you can because dirt and debris are being sucked into the throttle body through the hole that the gromlet fits in.to get the correct one you are either going to have to go to a dealer and get shafted. or measure the hole diameter and the diameter of the fitting that is on the pipe and go to a parts store that has a help center and get a gromlet from the measurements you need. autozone has a help center and the gromlet will cost you a couple of bucks. this is what i done on mine but i can't remember the inside and outside diameter measurements as this was two years ago. let me know how it goes..

Dorman/Help/Motormite makes the pcv tube assembly. It is part# 46014. Call any Napa store and ask them to cross the part number to Balkamp. They can order it. It runs around $10.

This ended up being not only the PCV pipe, but also the MAP sensor.
