1998 v6 mustang exhaust help
I was wondering what the differance is between the exhaust setup for the 1994-1998 v6 mustangs and the 1999-2004 v6 mustangs. There are alot more choices for the 1999-2004 sereies and i have a 1998. What modification would it take to make an exhaust for a 1999-2004 mustang work on a 1998. Also i am open to suggestions as to what would be the best exhuast for around $400 to $600. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Re: 1998 v6 mustang exhaust help
And the setups you saw were both for your engine? Because for had two v6's the 3.8 and the 4.2 liter. As far as exhaust, i think flowmaster is the best. But i only deal with muscle car v8's so i can't guarantee you would get a great sound.

Re: 1998 v6 mustang exhaust help
the 4.2s are swapped in from an f150, there was no option for them
the car is different dementions, just order the right parts, i had Long tubes with a catted H pipe and a 2.5" summit GT cat back with force pro series mufflers welded in place. which are pretty muchb flowmaster knock off but thats more then $600 http://s106.photobucket.com/albums/m...t=HPIM0571.flv
