93 protege. horn going off

I have a 93 Protege and there have been a couple of incidents where the horn has gone off without warning with me both in and out of the car. It happened last night and I just unhooked the battery. Now I read a bit about it and it sounds like I can just replace a piece in the steering wheel. Perhaps just the foam has warn thin? My knowledge of cars and car lingo is not extensive though I am competent and I was wondering if anybody could
walk me through replacing this piece or fixing this problem? anybody have the same problem?

It's been awhile but if I remember right, you just pry off the plastic trim piece in the center of your steering wheel and replace the whole piece. You can get one cheap at a salvage yard or on ebay.
