electrical issues

I have a 98 grand prix gt and here lately I have had a couple electrical issues. The first one is I have no interior lights so I had to pull the fuse. When I put the fuse in the lights and radio flicker intermittently. The second issue just started where when I shut the car off and open the drivers door the car doesnt beep and the radio still plays like its still in RAP mode other times it works fine but when I open the passenger door the radio stops playing. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks.

Re: electrical issues

Welcome to AF.

The interior courtesy lighting is controlled by the body control module (BCM). It uses magnetic door sensors at the door latches.

Do the courtesy lights comes on when you max out the dimmer? Ignition to off.

I pulled the fuse so I could still use the radio but I put the fuse back in to check this out and the lights would flicker on and off with the dimmer maxed out and turning the car on and off pulling the key out the lights flickered on and off and when they would flicker I could hear clicking in the fuse box in the dash.
