1999 Yukon won't crank
My Yukon won't crank. Battery 12.5Volts, Charging 13.7 to 14.2. have replaced ign. switch & neutral safety. Power, 12.2 volts at starter relay, ign/sw in run position. turn key to Acc. pos gear position indicator light on, key in run position no gear indicator light. vehicle will start & run if I supply a ground to the starter fuse #8 dash fuse panel or the yellow wire coming from the ign switch, with the key in the run position. Will also start & run when I supply a ground to the starter relay. When this first occures I was 85 miles from home, I got home by jumping the starter with the ign switch in the run position. I had just shut the car off and when I tried to restart it 15 minutes later nothing.
Please if you have any ideas E-Mail them to [email protected]

Re: 1999 Yukon won't crank
I finially found the problem. It was all in the #105 ground circuit. By cleaning & thghtening the ground at the large ground point lower right front of engine it cured all my problems. Gear position indicator light came back on when the key is in the run position, now it cranks & starts every time. I have driven over 1200 miles in the last week without any further problems.
