Fiesta 1.1 MK3 1993 Oil Cap problem

Hello all,

I have just bought a Ford Fiesta 1.1 MK3 1993. I am just about to change the oil for the first time on it and I can't get the oil cap off. It is not a twist type just pull, but I have pulled really hard and still it won't budge.
Has anybody got any tips or had this problem themselves?

Your help would be much appreciated.

with the engine cold, use hairdyer on the metal bit surrounding the cap (making the metal expand) being careful not to heat the cap itself. this should loosen the cap some to where you can remove it

just jiggle it a lot and pull it harder. Try eatin some weetabix first....or spinach like popeye does
