Re: My new B18A1

Ya, b18a1 is non-vtec. I'm running the obd1 version of it. I'll get a video of it running and do a walk around the engine bay so you guys can see the motor all beautiful blue installed.

Re: My new B18A1

how much did you have to do to get it to fit? (mounts, wiring, etc.) I've seen quite a few b16/b18s in the junkyard I could get for cheap on half off weekend

Re: My new B18A1

Well, I had to do some extra wiring because I converted to obd1. But I had to do new mounts, shift linkage, and axles. The axles are standard integra axles, the shift linkage and mounts are custom. You can't use the factory teg parts.

Re: My new B18A1

When I did my swap, the only wiring was MPFI wiring. I used a OBD0 computer to keep it simple. I got Yonaka(I think thats how you spell it) mounts off eBay for like $150. I made my own linkage using the Integra shift linkage, you just need to cut it and shorten it. As 4g4d said, the axles are just stock integra axles.

Re: My new B18A1

My whole setup that I got from a friend for $200 had an obd1 computer so I just bought the adapter harness and rewired the harness for obd1 injectors and obd1 distributor. Wasn't too bad really. Only issue that I still have to sit down and figure out is the tps issue.

Re: My new B18A1

there's a few b18b's at the junkyard and I should be able to get everything for about $150 on half price weekend.... would it be worth it to buy and rebuild?

You could probably sell just a block for that. I would say to go for it. If nothing else, you could turn a profit on eBay. Heck, the core value of the axles would be about that much.
