3.8 V6 with no power at all...

i have a 2000 pontiac firebird w/ 3.8l V6 series II and it has no power at all. no power responce. when i rev the engine it will go to about 2 grand and starts to make this loud deep growl that comes form the intake and the rpms just start to fall even though the gas is all the way to the ground. i had a egr valve code and a cylinder 6 misfire code, so i replaced the egr valve and that took care of the engine light but still no power. i cant get her to go more than 30 mph. any ideas??

the air/fuel mixture is the rigth one?? isn't running too rich or too lean, check the spark plus, fuel filter it sounds to me that is fuel loss so check the fuel system and the spark plugs and wires

she runs great when its just idling, but when i give it gas it a no go. i didnt think it would be a fuel system problem. when i replaced the egr valve i noticed the insides where chalky white. is that a lean or rich sign? i couldnt remember. the plugs were just recently changed a week ago. maybe the wrong plugs?? i had a cylinder 6 misfire detected engine code, but i cleared the codes after i installed the new EGR valve.
