wheel whistling sound

I have a 2002 Lesabre custom with 95,000 miles on it. It has recently developed a whistling sound in the left front wheel. I took it to a mechanic and he told me it is a bad bearing, (one of the enclosed self greasing type). He quoted me $250.00 parts and labor to fix it. Is this price in the ballpark?

I reside in Michigan.

Agreed.. As I believe that the Wheel Hub Assembly runs about $150 for that car as the ABS sensor is also part of that Hub... Thats a very fair price
