knock knock

1999 camaro 3.8l V6 euro specs 65000km
High speed vibration heard more than felt. (90mph +) I guessed at the drivehaft, and replaced the original 2 part with an aluminium 1 part. Seems to be cured but no long term test yet.
Knock knock noise at low speed (30mph or less) ona smooth road in or out of drive. Frequency seems to be faster than tyre speed, more like driveshaft speed. Driveshaft replacement didn't change it. More of an annoyance than a major problem.
Any ideas?
I'm new to this, so please excuse any omissions or errors.
Thanks
Colin

Re: knock knock

Sorry, forgot to mention all tyres were replaced and balanced on the car a couple of months ago.(Pirelli P6). Also the noise is faster than tyre rotation speed, about 3/4 taps/sec @ 10mph. Noise was unchanged.
Keep em coming
Colin
