1998 E-150 hot/cold switch
I can not get this to work. It is stuck on the heat and I have no power at any time to the three wires going to the switch. I have checked all fuses in and out of the van and all are good. Everything else seems to work just fine. I am now at a point where ayn help would be a blessing. Thank you. Breeze

Re: 1998 E-150 hot/cold switch
Hi, and welcome to the forum. If you have no voltage on any of the three pins of the selector switch, then check if 12V is arriving at pin 7 of the Blend Door Actuator (pink/black wire). If the 12V is missing, then check for an open-circuit fault in the pink/black wire running from Fuse 13 (15A, Interior Fuse Panel) to pin 7 of the actuator.
If on the other hand you do have 12V on pin 7, then go to this page, which is an excellent description of how to test the actuator and selector switch circuit. Let me know if you need any help following the test procedures, or interpreting your test results. The link below is the relevant section of the wiring diagram for your vehicle, showing the wire colours: '98 E-150 blend door actuator circuit |
