Any Mileage Chips/Programming out there?

Just getting the OD and TC lockup to start at 35 -v- 40mph would be substantial.

Being I have the 2000 cargo, I sure would think I'm the lightest out there yet my mileage stinks.

I have new Isolator Bolts, 4 new O2 sensors, no codes and about 12 mpg around town. ...and I coast down hills in neutral and hardly use the brake pedal!

3.8 is very powerful. Can lay tire pulling out and really will push you back in the seat in 1st and 2nd.

Maybe too powerful.

What did the computer reprogram associated with the Isolator Bolt TSB do? Did it effect economy?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

Re: Any Mileage Chips/Programming out there?

My understanding of the computer reprogram for this TSB is that they slightly delayed the timing to avoid pinging due to carbon deposits in the cylinders from excessive oil being drawn in.
This would have a slight decrease effect on fuel economy.
I tend to stay away from aftermarket "chips".....I'm sure that we will see these "performance chip" companies coming out with a lot of "fuel economy" claims......
The PCM will learn a lot from your particular driving style.....and enhance performance to match this.
