88 mustang 2.3 4 cyl lx idle problems

Hey guys, my 88 mustang is having a big idling problem.

Whenever its in idle the car starts to idle really rough. the rpm will drop down low. in either drive holding the brake or in park, the only difference is in park if i idle it long enough it will stall out.

I'm thinking it's either the fuel injector, or the cadiliddic converter, however im honestly stumped on this

Sounds like a bad throttle position sensor to me.

Re: 88 mustang 2.3 4 cyl lx idle problems

it wasnt the throttle sensor i didnt think so because it didnt have a problem while i was driving just during the idle.

i brought it to my friend who's a mechanic (im going to be a mechanic too)

it was a vacuum leak going to the map sensor that was causing all the problems. fixed. thanks for the response though
