Starter Problem 89 Firebird

I've been having a bit of trouble with the starter since I got it.

When I first got the car a few months ago I replaced that starter, and it worked well for about a month. Then it started to grind the flywheel, SO I replaced it to find the solenoid was busted. Then after about a month my new starter started to grind the flywheel as well, but it's still in good condition (Or so it seems). I can re-shim it and it works fine for about a month, then it starts to grind again when I start the car.

Maybe I just got another bad starter?

Any suggestions would be helpfull.

Re: Starter Problem 89 Firebird

Make damn sure of the shimming and then if it keeps up, replace the starter.
