92 Camry High Fuel Pressure
I have a 92 Camry XLE 3.0 The engine runs fine at idle but when it is in gear it doesn't have any power. I checked the fuel pressure and found 48 psi at idle with the vacuum on the regulator and 52 with no vacuum. The engine cuts out once the pressure reaches 50 psi even when it is in park. I was wondering if there is something that cuts the fuel out at 50 psi? I am going to replace the regulator and see if that takes care of the problem. Has anyone had this problem before.
Thanks |

Re: 92 Camry High Fuel Pressure
Your fuel pressure is high. Replacing the pressure regulator is probably the right move. Normal pressure should be 38-44 psi.
