"Laugh-In"'s Dick Martin Dies
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080526/...ot/obit_martin
I remember my parents watching that show every week in the late '60s/early '70s, then catching re-runs a few years back on a cable network. That show really pushed the envelope of it's time, and broke a lot of new ground opening the doors to a lot of the comedy we see on tv today.

Re: "Laugh-In"'s Dick Martin Dies
Dick Martin's partner Rowan was a chain smoker, always smoking a cigarette on the show, guess he couldn't get thru a show with out one. Martin must have seen the future to put up with that.
"Laugh In" was a cutting edge show for it's time and had a lot of run ins with the censors, I still have to laugh at the scene he snuck by them where two girls just sat down on stage and sucked popsicles in a simulated BJ on prime time. |
