97 LeSabre sucks air through oil fill?
Hi, About a month ago, had the infamous coolant in the oil. I hadn't driven the car too far and one of the replies said to put in oil after the UIM repair (Dorman kit) and crank the engine to push oil through the crank bearings. I let that drain for a week and replaced the filter again. Put in the oil and water and started the engine. It runs fine ( about 200 miles) and no leaks. However, when I remove the oil fill cap, air is being sucked in. If I remove it quickly the engine stalls, removing it slowly, it runs rough, but will run. Also, if I remove the dipstick, air is being sucked in. I don't recall this happening before and I am sure I removed the cap plenty of times when the engine was running? I did not replace the LIM gaskets. Would they cause this condition? Could it be head gaskets or valve stem seals? The engine did not overheat to any great degree. Any help is appreciated, hope the engine is not "fried" . Thanks, Ron

Did you install both O-rings on the PCV valve?

Or is the PCV valve contaminated with the oil "milkshake" and stuck open? That's the likely source of the big air/intake leak into the crankcase.
