Low coolant light on, oh noes!

Sup guys,

My low coolant light is on... and as you all know I've replaced two gaskets in two seperate occasions within one month. The problem was coolant actually WAS leaking at that time.

Now it's not, but the low coolant light keeps occasionally popping back on... could it be the sensor is dirty and I need to do a coolant flush? It's went through a lot of coolant/water lately, so I was thinking that might be it... what other problems could it be?

I'm also getting an evap code... and I know it's not my gas cap cause it was replaced because a dealership thought that might be an issue, but it wasnt. What other probs could it be?

Thanks

99 grand am SE v6... forgot the code number and lost it, but essentially they said it could be a loose vacuum hose or a gas cap leakage or something or something else, but i'm trying to figure out what that "something else" is, hehe

Re: Low coolant light on, oh noes!

With your cooling system once air gets into it you need to remove that or you will usualy blow out coolant from the over flow..
I would check your low level sensor wires, might even remove the sensor and clean it off. Air bubbles can also sit on the sensor and cause false alarms with low level.

On the evap, I'd start looking at the hoses closest to the gas tank. Thier are many hose clamps and under the hood are a few.

The hoses by the tank tend to dry out and shrink causing them to have small leaks, tighten them down and see if that clears it up.
