Where to find Rims for a 94 Caprice Classic Lt1
I am getting my newest project, a really nicely taken care of 94 Caprice Lt1 Ex-FBI car ( yes, it is pearl purple ) but I want those great looking BLACK RIMS from the 9C1 on it.
Going to get new tires this week for her and needed some of this rims with the chrome center caps. Any idea where to get them in the Minnesota or other areas? Thanks! Paul Krumrei |

Yah I might be looking for a set of those too. I checked ebay without much results. But I remember reading on here a long time ago about a guy that used some other rim you can get cheap and just bought the center caps and they're identical supposedly. Anybody remember who or what? I think I remember they might have been those black wheels you see with the red and the blue stripe near the edge of the rim, memory is bad though.

That's mine. You can use standard wheels, or even 'truck rally' wheels - the center caps fit either one of these. The 9C1 wheels - specifically the '94-'96 wheels, are hard to find. They're pretty much the same as the truck rallys but with larger holes (for disc brake ventilation on the RW discs). All 9C1 wheels up through '93 are the same basic stock wheels that most of these cars have. There is no special requirement regarding caliper clearance on the rear discs on cars so equipped - any basic stock wheel should fit.

Re: Where to find Rims for a 94 Caprice Classic Lt1
If I were you, I would check your local boneyards... you never know what you may find. I got my first set at a yard for $10 apiece
. They were on a 9C1 that had just come in... The second set I came across were sitting on a Roadmaster wagon. They were covered by some cheesy hub caps . I paid a little more for those though; $20 each. Ask if you can take a walk through the yard, they may just let you... Making friends with the guys at a yard can really help out.
