Brake Job
Hello all: I have a 95 a 95 grand Marquis, needs a brake job, Probably just pads on the front, but the rears will need rotors also, one is warped. I usually do the work myself, but I decided to have a brake shop do it, I'm to dam old to crawl around on the ground. My question is what is a reasonable cost to have this done. I live in the New England area.

Re: Brake Job
I would get at least 3 estimates - Maybe you can fine a good backyard
Tech and buy your own parts. |

Re: Brake Job
I have decided to do the work myself. My question is how do i remove the rear rotor? I know I have to back off on the parking brake shoes, but i can't seem to get the adjustment wheel to turn. any help would be much appreciated. Is there a web site that has a step by step procedure I can go to. I have ordered a repair manual, but it may be a week or more before I get it.

Re: Brake Job
You'll have to use a brake spoon (or something) to loosen the emergency brake shoes. You have rear disc brakes, but the parking brake uses shoes like an old drum brake.
