Clicking noise from ventilation system
2000 Lesabre has clicking noise as it cycles air through ventilation system. Has auto temp feature. Sounds like doors or baffles trying to move but "gears" slipping. Has not affected temp or air distribution yet but clicking lasts for 5-10minutes before settling down. ideas? thanks.

Re: Clicking noise from ventilation system
The “clicking noise” could be the actuator drive gear is cracked and slipping on the serrated drive shaft. Pretty common occurrence!

Thanks and great photo...picture worth thousand words. Is this accessible in area under glove box? Hope it can be fixed without removing dash.

Re: Clicking noise from ventilation system
I would love to find a resource for the HVAC in these vehicles. My 96 has a similar issue as well.
Where do I find that part in my HVAC? |

Re: Clicking noise from ventilation system
The part is located behind the glove box and mounted on top of the heater core box. This is a top view of how it is mounted. I have some better pics, but they are on the home PC. I will try to download them tonight.
