clicking heater door on 2001 windstar
I have a 2001 windstar and the other day my van started a clicking noise like the heater door was closed and keeps trying to keep moving....if I move the hot/cold slide knob to cold and then move it a tiny Bit towards hot it stops but if you move to hot it keeps clicking loudly...all the way to cold it clicks lightly....any ideas as to what it might be and how to fix it??

schadd, catvents is absolutely correct. it's your blend door actuator. it moves the door by using 2 plastic gears which as you can imagine over time will wear out. In my case, one of them had 2 missing teeth hence resulting in the clicking noise. it's not a difficult repair so long as you have the radio removal tool ($4 at most autoparts stores and also at Walmart)

schadd,
here is a post that I found helpful: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...+door+actuator It cost me $35 including shipping to get it delivered but I also order another item to make the shipping worthwhile at teamfordparts.com
