65 gto wheel fitment

Ok so i am trying to figure out how wide a wheel to get for my weekend drag racing events. I want to fit as large a slick as possibal i know many factors need to be taken into account. Tire higth, suspension heigth, and shock compression. However as a general rule what fit's?

Thanx in advance and happy building.

Re: 65 gto wheel fitment

Wheel "offset" is another factor to consider. I have several customers with '65s that run M/T 10x15x28 slicks with factory wheels (Rally IIs). I thnk anything wider than 10" will rub on the inner side of the outer panel.
