Re: jimmy loss power

Was the solenoid code there before you changed the filter?\
What is the code no?
And any other code no?

If you are getting a missfire code you have a engine miss.
I would make sure the fuel pressure is up to par to start with.
What kind of spark plugs are you using?
Can you feel the engine miss?

P1886 is 3-2 shift solenoid electrical circuit.
Check all wiring and plugins and for 12 volt power to solenoid.
Did it have code before filter change?
The transmission problem should not cause engine power lose.

Go over your basic tune up.
What kind of spark plugs did you put in it?
What is the fuel pressure when it loses power?

Re: jimmy loss power

The code you gave is for a 3-2 shift solenoid.

Recheck for codes and see if there is any other codes.

Is the transmission still shifting up good in all gears or is it locked in one gear.
If trans is locked in 2 or 3 gear the engine should still have power in that gear range.
But may lack take off power from a stop.

Proper testing should lead you to the problem.
