Weight lifting and blood pressure

HI i have a question and concern maybe you guys can help me with. I lift weights at world gym and i started taking my pulse because my heart beats super fast when i'm working out. I was doing some hardcore curls and i took my pulse immediatly after and it was going so fast i could barley count the beats, but my pulse was at least 180. when i got up i could feel my temple pulsing. is this normal having your pulse reach these levels when working out. 180 is like 90% of my max heart rate which is 194.

I'm 5'7, 157lbs and i've been working out, no cardio, for yrs, but just recently about a month ago, i started with the pounding heart and uber rapid pulse when working out. The thing is that i don't get out of breath or tired it's just my heart. my base pulse rate is 64-80 and my blood pressure is any where from 103/62 to 117/76. Could i be out of shape somehow, cause i did lose some weight over a cold i had last month? I have had two ekg's done, blood work, and everything was normal. My doctor thinks it's anxiety and lack of sleep, cause i went two weeks straight with no sleep.
