93 5.0 thunderbird, no fuel pressure?

looking for some help here. my son has a 93 thunderbird with the 5.0 multi port injection or what ever it is called on fords
anyway he ran it out of gas and put a few gallons in and now it wont start at all. it hardly has any fuel pressure at the Schrader valve on the rail. we dont have a pressure tester. but anyway we also disconnected the fuel filter before the line gets to the filter and turn the key on. we can here the pump energize but no fuel at all comes out of the line where we disconnected it at the filter.

shouldnt we get fuel from the line when we disconnect the filter and turn the key on?

we know the previous owner of this vehicle and they replaced the fuel pump just 6 months ago and the car sat for 3 of those months. we are very confused why its not getting any fuel. maybe you guys can shoot some ides our way.
thanks

Since you say you can hear the pump energize which I take to mean run then either the line is blocked, the impeller is broken or it is stuck. Take the gas cap off and while blowing air back through the line listen for the air bubbles in the tank. There might have been a lot of junk in the bottom of the tank that got sucked into the pump screen.
