pcm reflash ???

Hello All
New here,
I've noticed every now & again I get a really harsh shift 1st & 2nd (slip bang) ? Last nite I noticed that my cruse control stoped working and when I came to the next stop there was the 1st & 2nd slip bang, Done a little searching and found GM vehicle calib. and there are new calib. for transmission & CC problems, So I guess my question is would a re-flash of the PCM maybe fix my problem, Would it benifit to re-flash anyway to get all the latest updates ?
Thanks,
Bill

Welcome to AF.

Always give year make and model and engine and transmission and mileage.
On reflashes there is certain years makes and models that do need a reflash for certian problems.
But it is a dealer deal and the dealer needs to run your vin no to see if it needs reflashed.

As always with transmission problems do the basics first.

Fluid level and condition of fluid and filter.
Any check engine lights?
For transmission problems it needs to be put on a transmission capable scanner and read out data and check for codes.
If any codes post back code no and other information about it.
And we can better help you.

Re: pcm reflash ???

Yea, OK
2004 Trailblazer 4X4 I6 bone stock 56K miles
Bought the truck last July so don't know history, since then I have changeed all fluids & filters, No check lights on, I guess my next step would get it scanned ?
After driving the last few days no 1-2 slip bang but CC still doesnt work, Tranny just doesn't feel like it is shifting right kinda sluggish, but has since I've bought it,
Thanks,
Bill

Re: pcm reflash ???

Make sure it is full of fluid.
And get it scanned for codes and read out data on transmission shift adaptives on a good transmission scanner.
The dealer can run and check you vin no to see if it needs and reflashes.

Post back any codes.
